2020年秋季, 博彩平台排名 University established the Hub for Black Affairs and 社区 订婚 in partnership with Professor of Political Science Dr. 特里杰特. The Hub serves as an institutional command center to both deepen and elevate a significant level of intersectional expertise of the collective Black voice across the institution; deepen and elevate relationships/partnerships among Black people at 博彩平台排名 University and Black people, 组织, or institutions across the Central Indiana community; and serve as an intellectual and physical center for Black intellectual life through programmatic, 课程, and networking initiatives.

This scholar-in-residence program showcases the Black community’s cultural life, intellectual traditions, and expressions by inviting Black role models to campus, where they connect with the 博彩平台排名 and Indianapolis communities through public lectures and performances, 类访问, and other gatherings.

Empowering Students

We provide ongoing communication and advocacy for support of the Black Student Union (BSU) and other Black students who are not directly associated with the BSU.

Supporting 教师 & 工作人员

Black 教师 and 工作人员 Affinity groups will be established to increase retention and growth of Black 博彩平台排名 employees. This includes mentorship across ranks and disciplines, resources to support professional development, and wellness support.

The MLK Oratorical Contest will provide an opportunity for IPS students in grades 7-12 to compete in school-based oratorical contests centered around a theme aligned with 博彩平台排名’s 访问ing Black Intellectual Series and the 社区 Read project of the Hub for Black Affairs and 社区 订婚.
